350 day trip today

So I just rode 350 miles today from NY to Buffalo. Real hot day but some thunderstorms cooled me off. Longest trip for me in a long time. No soreness at all. I've done the trip as a younger guy on my cbr600 & remember alot more burning neck syndrome. This time no problem. The cruise control and helmet speakers helped, but the GPS would only work on battery (not when plugged into the cigarette lighter) so cut out periodicly. Went through warsaw county which is beautiful mountains and hundreds of huge windmills. Great trip. Now I just gotta do it again to get back home.

350 days in one day! That's incredible!

350 miles is a normal Saturday or Sunday ride for me. Leave home and head to the mountain roads alot on Saturday or Sunday.

Perfect length for a day-ride.

A bit different than being on the track, huh?

I did 299.88 on sunday. Despite having a throttle lock, my right shoulder got sore. Most of the roads we were on were so twisty I couldn't use it.

I use an ear bud. When I tried the helmet speakers, they pushed on my ear and it caused fatigue. I wasn't about to remove some of the styrofoam! Do you have any issues w/ them and if not, what brand do you use?

Yes it was a warm one, glad we would greet you with some nice cooling thunderstorms . We actually needed some rain, after a super wet May/early June things were getting pretty dry around here.

Welcome to the city of good neighbors and enjoy your visit...

Yeah man, already bought a bucket of hot wings and 5 texas red hots. Going to head out to mickey rats tomorrow. Should be a nice ride.

The helmet speakers I now use are with my chatterbox. I can only use them with a schampa skull cap to hold my ears in tight to my cranium. Solves the ear fatigue issue. I used to custom make my own speakers out of good headphones. The sound was unreal but with the chatterbox I can talk to my wife so its ideal for me.

Much different than a day racing but a race day is more tiring since I race 2 bikes so have to do back to back practices and races. I credit p90x alot cuz the last time I did the same ride I had burning neck but I was fine this time (and I'm 10yrs older)
