2012 tire test Sport Rider

I've been touting the Q2s for quite a while and now my perceptions have been validated, at least by SR's most recent sport tire test...Dec issue.

I'm on my 3rd set of 190s and a 180 Q2 earlier and haven't even considered another choice, so this was no surprise to me....

Test included 7 most popular brands and the Q2s scored 9 or above in each of 4 categories;

general: 9.0
braking: 9.0
traction: 9.9
steering: 9.2

No other tire in the test came close, i mean no other tire even scored a 9 in any category, and it don't get much better than 9.9 for traction. Sure we can still fall off due to loss of traction, but at least we know we gotta a pretty good chance with the Q2s.

i think you'd have to have paid for an on-line subscription to view the mag.

No they didn't test sport touring tires........sport tires like the conti attack 2, bridgestn s20, avon 3d, metzler sportec, diablo rosso, and shinko 010. I know you're looking for mileage tires, but if you want, I can mail you the mag.

Oh yeah I guess those are sport touring. That makes sense since its sport rider. I have seen guys on the track with q2's and they say they are ballpark of full on race rubber.

for sure on the grip, for the track, it's the D211GPAs.

Q2s are only good for about 3500 miles @ 28psi, and probably no more that 4000 @ higher psi, so most on here don't want them i guess.
