2012 Superhawk forum shirt poll
So this is a two part shin dig. First off, Jason (97Wolverine) would like a quantity count of shirts that people would like to purchase this year. This is so that he can get a general idea of how many shirts that he will be ordering and so we can see if we meet a minimum order for the screenprinting. For those that weren't around or didn't get a chance to order last year, he did a great job of keeping track of prints and getting everyone their preferred colors, sizes, and artwork.
How the poll works:
Just select the number of T-shirts you think you will be interested in. We will have a pretty good idea of quantity just by adding this all together. If you would like a hoodie (or sweatshirt instead?), then note that in a reply to the thread as a separate count for us. If we have enough interest we will be able to create a couple of designs again. This is not a commitment, but just and idea of what will be involved this time around.
How the shirts work:
We're going to make it easier on Jason and his printer and keep it down to 3 shirt colors this year. Most likely it will be white, gray and black. Last year we had a mix-n-match of color options with graphics choices as well and I have no idea how he kept track of it.
T shirts were around something like $20-25 shipped, and hoodies were around $45 shipped. Prices are based on last year's run and I'm not sure if that has changed or not. We may go with a sweatshirt options instead.
What will the shirts look like?
Well, the graphics looked something like this last year:
They'll probably be two sided, three color screenprints of... whatever you decide. I have all the artwork from last year still, but would like to do something new this time around. There are a couple of ideas of graphics that I'd like to work with but definitely want to make something that the forum will wear. Any input? A pic of a brand or shirt that you like? I want to chase a style similar to this: Hummer Thermal
Happy New Year everyone!

If Jason's on the same though path as me, we'll probably have more of a toned down design similar to the one you like and one completely different...
The Japanese sun rays were OK, but there're better designs to be found...

What I do know is that I don't want to have Ryan make so many screens. Last time with 2 graphics, both with a light and dark shirt option, he ended up with a lot of them. As some may recall, he is a friend and waived screen fee's to help me get the shirts to yall (southern draw) at a good price. And on my end, as Ian mentioned, we went ape **** trying to keep everything organized. One design would be best for me, but if Ian bangs out 2 killer shirts, which he probably will, we'll see.

I was pleased with his former designs but the fact that he ante's up so quickly means he's probably got a dozen already saved to his hard disk. I was just looking for a couple garage replacements but if you want to go all new, I trust Ian has some.

I like both of those designs and would be happy with one of each!
I would be happy with either if the other was decided against. I like the white for the way the graphics jump out, but my white shirts usually turn gray with black grease smudges over time anyway, so I usually go gray to begin with, lol.

Here's where we're at right now.... I'm thinking the back will have a small SHF logo with a hit of yellow at the top near the collar. But, like I said, this is one design idea that I wanted to chase...

Yeah, that's the reason I post it up... feedback helps a lot. I put this stuff together when I get free time, cause a lot of people have ideas for good input.
We are trying to stay to 3 colors, but I'll see what I can do with adding some to the bike...
Nice drag bandit btw

We toyed around the idea of different color bikes last run. Wayyyyyy to much crap to deal w/ on my end and printing.
IMO the rear shock on the VTR is one of its worst qualities!!! And I'm wondering how you print that on a button up or zip up(maybe on the back?). When I get home from the left coast I want to get w/ Ryan to see if costs went up...yadda yadda.

Zip-up hoodies the design wouldn't work on (unless the graphic was made so that it could be split and have the design on one side and just the checker pattern on the other).

Well these responses confirm what I was curious about. I was wondering if the gear heads would be too critical of me just putting generic motorcycle parts that looked cool on a shirt. For some reason you want ones that pertain to the Superhawk. Who would have thought? haha!
I tried fitting the VTR motor on this design, but the way it's laid out it was too big (no, really!). I'll have to spend some time on a more detailed one to look better.
