Glad your ok; But make me number 4!
Wow too wierd...mine was almost the exact same as Lowell's. 30MPH lowside in downhill left. Some kind of fueling issue or electrical glitch caused the bike to cut out and lose power, then lurch forward with power, right as I went into a nice tight left on Decker canyon road. The loss and lurch of power upset the bike enough to force me to go wide and head straight for a guard rail.
I had both brakes on trying not to hit the guard rail on the edge when I noticed lots of little pebbles and sand on the edge of the road. The bike went down quick when I hit the sand with enough force to flick me off hard. There is boot rubber on the front right of my tank to give you an idea of the force. I was cussing at myself and the bike as I slid along to stop.
I was fully armored up so I didn't get hurt too bad. I did crack the knee armor pretty good though. I have a few brusies here and there and my right shoulder still hurts from the force of the flick off.
I was able to pull the bike out from under the guard rail, while still full of endorphins, and ride it home. It kept coughing and dying though, and I had to stop about 6 times to let rest for a bit before I could get it started again. The bike has a scrape near the left turn signal, but the T-Rex slider saved everything else.
I still have to track down the cause of the loss and lurch. I had just fueld up earlier in the day so hopefully its just bad gas.

Hmmm both left sides for us.
I am looking to replace the plastic on mine as I abhor the filed off look of the plastic in it's current condition.
Any bet what that will cost me>?
Have to replace the T-Rex (bent the bracket too) on the left and the blinkers ( probably both sold as pairs.)
Gear shift lever is slight bent back but no issues using it so that is fine.
