Ouch!!!! The bikes looks a total mess. But if you're able to get on the Forum already, quess you're not doing too bad. Here's hoping to a fast recovery. Any plans for the bike?

Wow, glad you are ok

Curious, how did the wheel and axle get seperated from the forks. Did someone not tighten the pinch bolts after last tire change.

Glad you're OK. If the forks are borked, I humbly suggest a set of CBR1000 forks w/radial brakes. And no, I'm not selling any.

Whoa! Glad you are still posting though!

From the sound of it I got banged up more, but my bike fared better and your bike took more damage but you weren't as banged up.

Ride safe everyone!

My experience with VTR's is that frame is bent for sure. In fact, a very small bend the forks usually means that that steering head area is tweaked. I would be surprised if yours isn't cracked at the weld considering the extensive damage it incurred.

Bummer, glad you are ok.

Glad to hear you're doing okay. Just remember...it could've been worse. Heal quick and get that bike back together.

Haha...ha. Thanks. It does. I crashed at Road Atlanta on Saturday. Minor low side on cold tires/pavement and was able to get back out for the rest of the weekend.

I had a similar crash 2 years ago. Failed to negotiate a turn, riding above my skill level and into a culvert, barely missing a tree in the process. Bike looked like yours. Healed up, rebuilt her and went back to square one about proper riding technique.

Glad its scrape, bruises and sore ***** and nothing worse.

Good luck.

Me went down also

Make me number 3.

Low side sand in a downhill Left and right. approx 30mph

NO broken parts on the bike and I was in full gear and popped up and tossed the glove at the bike. (no hurts)

Left fairing panel is scrapped.
T Rex frame slider is toast and saved the bike

Aftermarket LED blinker is working but needs replacement.

Rode the bike the rest of the weekend for 1k miles.
