My Favorite Threads in User CP
I was just noticing again (pretty much an everyday occurrence) how useful this site is. Specifically, I saw Greg's tip on changing the distance the shift lever must travel to change gears.
Anyhow, I just started to wish that I could put that thread in a list of my top 25 or 40 threads. That way I don't have to either memorize, or search all over to find it again. All the threads that I find the most useful could be waiting for me a click, rather than a search, away.
Often times searches don't even produce good results (can't search for oil, air gap, cct, etc.).
Does this seem like a good idea? Is it possible/simple to do?

Yes, it's a great idea and maybe the fearless leader can help us set something up! I have the same problem with searches so I have started to print articles about the mods that I know (sooner or later) that I am going to do to my Superhawk. One of the recent threads that I printed was 27 pages long. Lots of pix so that was ok but it does seem like there should be a way of doing it more easily. I'm not going to speak for Greg but it may be that some of us need to step up to the plate to help out on some of this stuff. The classifieds for example. Someone needs to go through and email everybody thats got an ad over there to get the current status. Most of this stuff has been sold, tossed, Ebayed, or forgotten. We need to weed it out. I think you're on to something Scoober, I just don't have any advice as to how to do it.

One suggestion is to save the thread adress as a favorite in your browser.... I have like 2-3 just on trying to keep tabs on the 929/RC51 front end conversions.... very helpful when trying to find somethign very quickly.

I just save pages to my favorites, I have a folder marked Motorcycle stuff, and a sub folder marked superhawk forum pages....works for me, but I agree it would be nice to have something on here like that, though it maybe more work than needed....

Something like that is beyond my capabilities as an Admin. It will require digging deep into the vBulletin code.
For just this reason is why we have the Knowledge Base subforum. Really what I need to do is clean that up a bit. Maybe I can find a couple of the front end swap threads and combine them. Again, if any of you feel as though you've got something that the SHF family could use feel free and do a writeup and I'll move/sticky/close the thread as to keep it clean and free of banter.

For you guys that have been here and have had your machines for a while the tabs method or favorites method for storing threads are both great ways of staying organized but for new members and guests having a topic driven search function would be really cool.
