Forum questions

I know we had a recent thread about adding emoticons but damn if I can find them. How do you add them to a post?

Next, anyone notice that the "advance to the last post in the thread" button on the front page doesn't work? Do you know what I mean?

Yeah, there's a little arrow pointing to the right. Put your mouse on it and it will note "go to last post". Click it and it goes to the first post or it does for me any way. Firefox 1.5 browser.

You better not be messin' with me Willis!

Seriously, it's always been there (even before I was a moderator) AFAIK.

When you click on a thread from the main page (not in individual forums), does it ALWAYS take you to the first page of the thread or to the last post or to the last post you read? For me: I ALWAYS get sent to post #1. grrrrr

I believe this is could be a "cookie" sort of an issue and AFAIK I don't have anything set to now allow them. Other forums I read work fine in this regard and it's a very cool feature.

I get sent to the beginning of the post but there's a 'view first unread' link on the left side of the header(blue bar).

I read this and went back to the home page. Click on the right arrow in antoher thread and, lo and behold, the magic "view first unread" was there. AND it work! OK, it's an extra step (grrrr) than other forums that do this automatically but it beats the hell out of what I had been doing.

Is your Editor set to Advanced Editor? You can then click on the "More" button, and they should show up.

What I did was I bookmark'd the Smilies page:

http://www.sportbikers.net/forums/mi...yg=0&forumid=9

It's faster for me to access - just hit CTRL + T, then CTRL + B, then the alphabet letters I need to press to get to the Smilies book mark. Less than four keystroke/keystroke combinations.
