What else is new this kinda stuff happens all the time. I know not all law enforcment is bad, however i wish for ONCE someone would admit that they were wrong.
This woman has a good chance of winning her case. I hope she does disorderly conduct and resisting thats a lame reason to leave someone naked for 6 hours.

I am, naturally, inclined to NEVER believe what the news shows on these things. We were involved in a shooting one night and the guy pulled a gun and began to point it at an officer...he was shot in the chest twice....the news said we shot him in the back for no reason. all of the people they "interviewed" said that one of the officers involved just "jumped out of the car and shot him". this was one of the same people that was standing on the hood of a car saying how "dope puts food on the table...**** the police..." et cetera. so ...of course you can see where i would reserve judgement. they never said what really happened. that was very hard to deal with, basically being called a murderer or crooked......
now, i will be the first to admit that there are some power abusing, i got picked on in highschool tools with badges on...if theyre wrong, strip them and charge them under USC Title 42 for deprivation of rights under color of law. put them in federal pound me in the *** prison for abusing the public trust.

Well, the woman was obviously hysterical and acted like she was on PCP or worse and hurt -her own self- in a struggle against seven attempting to disarm her of potential weapons.
She seemed like a nut-job. Why wasn't she at all calm? If she voluntarily allowed the police to investigate her personage against deadly weapons then probably one person would have gladly assisted. She must have resisted for quite some time until more police were needed. Why else would someone resist a search for weapons unless she already had something? Weird.
Still, the naked, no-blanket thing's a bit mean, but when she indicated she might have wanted to harm herself causing the required strip-search and her acting completely insane the PoPo probably didn't want any materials she could strangle herself with, understandably.
...on the other hand, the whole affair was quite unnecessary for a domestic dispute, plus males should not have been involved whatsoever.

Simply put, they went against their own policy when males were present. Follow procedure at all times, period.
I truly do not know what I would do if it were my wife. I would hope that we lead such a life as to never need to worry about such.

She's clearly not in a rational frame of mind. I like how the husband said "they never asked her to remove her clothing" like it matters. The only thing she probably would have said was "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" like she did thru the rest of it. If the LEO's had a reason to believe she was a danger to herself or anyone else, they have a responsibility to protect everyone involved. If they hadn't stripped her, and she'd hung herself with her shirt in the cell, everyone would be yelling "why didn't they remove anything she could have hurt herself with?"
That I'm afraid is modern law enforcement. Make a split second decision and spend years defending it.

It was nice how during all the you-tube video's, the husband was on talking about how they brutalized his wife, however.......she was never interviewed....i find that interesting that she never spoke.......goes to show you how the media is always convicting the police/deputies before all the facts are in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After thinking about it for a bit, I find it hard to beleive that 6 or 7 cops had nothing better to do with there time than to "brutalize" this poooor woman for no damn reason what so ever...just for kicks? I don't buy it...what the hell did she do? why don't we get to see that part??? Damn Media, why don't they report on something worth while like, Illegal immigration and how it is ******* our country and the real tax payers out of Billions, if not Trillions every year...

I gotta say that after thinking about it today... My response is the same as my gut reaction was.. wondering what she did. There's NO way they would do this without motivation... Someone fucked up, and is looking for some money.
Let's start a fund for her.. call her the "Ohio One" (Jenna six reference)..
"Hey Bob, what do you and Cindy want to do today?".. "I was thinking of stipping naked our next delivery person, video taping it and saying they were resisting arrest.. " "I'm in! How many of you are?"

She gave them her deceased sisters drivers liscense instead of her own by mistake and the officer would not give it back to her. From what I understand she got irate after that.
SHE was the orig victim in a fight they were called out to investigate. Another forum i am on daily has a big thread about this and many members are police. They have mixed feelings as well.

Just goes to show what a circus the Media can get going when they want....

I was thinking about the license also. I can think of better keepsakes of my deceased sister. But to carry it around in your wallet and give it to police (even accidentally) makes her out to be a liar from the get go in the officer’s mind. Not a good way to start.

Wait, what was his name, oh yeah, Rodney King. Attempted to make the police look the same as this woman is. That is......until the truth comes out.
In the video I didn't see her, or the officers. Just some ******* pompous looking lawyer, who stands to make his yearly wage off this one case if he wins against the city.
Do you know it to be true that it is the policy of that city to not have males present, or that they cannot be present? I saw the officer holding her arms doing his best to look at the back of her head the whole time not gawking at her. Perhaps he was authorized by his superiors to be there and to help with the situation. Perhaps there weren't enough female officers on duty to handle her. Perhaps the female officers asked for assistance and it was approved. Perhaps we weren't there and don't know the whole story, just what was edited for the Youtube video.
I mean come on, Youtube is such a reliable place to get news, and it's accurate at that. [/sarcasm]
there is my 2 or 3 cents worth.

Yea, their own policy states that. I believe that both are at fault myself. In no way do I believe that she was acting compliant with the officers and in no way do I believe that she deserved the ridicule that she received.

Not sure what to say - I really am not fond of the police though some are great guys most are NOT. She seems rather small to require two large guys to strip her. It all looks very bad; you can't put a shine on cow ****. JIM

If she would have already been naked, then she could have run from them naked on her motorcycle, then if the did catch her, she wouldn't have gotten stripped like that...
--- regardless of the rest of the story... I think there is enough on film to say that they police officers did not handle everything properly... Even in my industry, the term CYA is used all the time... COVER YOUR *** !!! I don't care to speculate on what was happening when the dash camera was off, or what was happening when there where times we haven't seen... But the fact that the dash cam was not running during the very beginning of this event, and the tape of two males forcing her clothing off of her... I don't care what policy is on strip searching, that was humiliating even if nobody else saw.... And even if it where legal, it needs to be changed... But yes, the policy they read online said no members of the opposite sex.... and those didn't look like manly woman.. they where surely MEN... lol
I think this is a settlement case all day long.... It may not go full trial, but the couple will surely win on this one...
BTW... what was she arrested for? I think they said resisting arrest, but why was she being arrested in the first place, to make her start resisting???
But.. back to what condor said... should have run on a motorcycle, but naked in my opinion..
