I navigate around 'em pretty well, but sometimes they make sure to pop up. I appreciate that it costs someone some $$ to keep the site going, and I sure am happy it's here, but encroaching ads are a bummer.

 

imo not as annoying as those posted adds every five posts or so you see on some other forums

 

I web around a lot and I think we have one of the cleanest sites on the net. My hat's off to all the Mods, Greg and Ralph. When home feels empty, I come here.

this is def. one of the cleanest layouts I have seen too! I go to other sites and have a hard time reading because of the horrible color and font choices!

Yeah, I kinda got the look that the site had been sold. That's cool Ralph did a good job for an owner. As members, the only measure of excellence is connectivity.

 

Doug, I don't remember if worked for internet brands or not. IB hires guys who admin multiple sites. This forum requires a lot less babysitting since everyone's adult around here...plus you got me to promptly hammer the **** out of folks who are turds! hehehe

Either Ralph moved on to other projects or is not with the company anymore if he was there to begin with. It's been awhile since my last communication with Ralph.

 

PHPBB3 is a clean and free forum program that works great , as seen here.
Plus, HawkRider, if you ever want a really good theme for PHPBB I have a 200 dollar theme (style) I can give you for free that really makes the standard PHPBB forum to look really slick.
Easy to install, its the same forum, just updates the colors and appearance.
