i loved my superchicken and hated seeing her leave. now i have a '07 1098. all i can say is wow. the 1098 is incredible. she is very light, agile, sounds great, and has a ton of torque. the brakes are awesome and she looks hot. she's everything i expected her to be.

Congratulataions, it`s a gorgeous bike! I rode one around for a couple of hundred miles and all I can say is, best of luck in keeping your driver`s licence The other possible downside is that the riding position (for anything other than the track) may have you become very well acquainted with your local chiropractor, lol

mileage: 2000
price: $12.5
i'll post pics when i get home.
i was going to buy an RC-51 but i couldn't find a clean (near mint) low mile one. i also have a buddy with a 1098 who kept raving about his bike. so now i'm a happy 1098 owner.

i like the look of the bike a lot compared to the 999. the dry clutch sound is neat. its only really audible while the bike is idling. at speed its not noticeable. i think ducati did a great job on this bike and the current bikes (848, 1198). i recommend you guys try one out. the ducati dealerships around here demo the 848's. take one for a spin :]

Nice. Take that bitch to the track and give her a proper flogging! What are the service intervals though?
Did your insurance give you a buy back option? Mine was totaled last year and I bought it back for $1100. Replaced the left fairing and she was good as new minus a couple scratches here and there.
