Really crummy news.

Damn Martin, I didn't know you were going through this. You mentioned chemo when we met but I didn't want to pry. You looked pretty good for a sick guy. Hang in there. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.

Hey everyone just wanted to give you all an update, I had my final IV infusion of chemo today, after about 1 week I will be able to start working out again. I had my Dr reduce my meds enough last time and that gave me about 2 weeks of feeling good enough to work out every day and even lift weights again.

sounds like you doin well Zman. My heart's with ya all the way. You are one tough ************.....I know that because you ride a superhawk.hahaha.
Seriuosly, I'm glad you recovering well. How does this affect your diet/nutrition? It seems like you're going to want to eat less bulk, more nutritious foods. I've been reading Dr.Mercola.com for several years(medical doctor gone preventitive/alternative) and there's some interesting perspectives based on this and his staff is constantly researching the world for studies and other info that makes a lot of sense to me, and may be helpful to you as well.
I'm no MD, but accord to my personal research, I think you may want to investigate probiotics, enzymes, easily digestible and assimilable organic and raw foods. I began with using probiotics years ago for reasons you'll learn about if you read Mercola, and then moved to raw milk from a local farm, raw yogurt, home-made kefir with raw eggs, fruit, spices, natural spring water from local mountain source, etc. And all this goes well with a little wacki tobacci cause it's natural and easily assimilated too right?
I'm not selling this ****, just passin on what i believe and practice. But you should understand that just because I drink raw milk, I'm not a cow or a member of any herd that tells me what to believe or how to think, although to some, a bit radical, intense, and always bordering on insanity. hahaha. And that's the good part.
Enough with the digressions. Seriously, I'll be looking forward to reading your new thread in the modding section describing your add-on toilet facilities for those extended canyon forays on the Hawk. Lord, i apologize for this..........I'm sure we'll all need these if we stick around long enough, how bout it!

ZMANIV some how i missed this thread, hope all is well & you are feeling better.
And as NATH981 was saying diet/nutrition is a big part of all this, I think we could all benefit from some extra fruit, vegetables (RAW/ORGANIC) & clean water, & a little less junk food, sugar & fat.
We all need to take care of our bodies.
Best wishes to you.

Hey everyone last update on the chemo. Its all done now , I finished off my pills last night and that's it.
I go back to the Oncologist in 3 months for a followup, then back to work in June or July.
I was real lucky and I am damn glad it is all over with now. If any of you all ever find yourself in this situation I hope you have as good of a turn around as I did. If anyone wants to talk about this off line just PM me I would be glad to share anything that I experienced with you.
Thank you all for your kind words and support
Martin.

Thanks everyone, well it turned out that I had to go back to work a few weeks ago. It was a bit of a letdown but I am glad to be back to working full time now. There is only so much time you can spend looking at the internet at home before you start going stir crazy.
