I'll buy 57 states. Sure there's Virginia and California, but then you have the states of Confusion, Paranoia, Fear, etc.

Bush had "nuk-u-ler"......Obama has "Paak-e-staan"

Maybe that's how Pakistan is correctly pronounced, but I've never heard anyone else pronounce it that way, including the news media that worships every word Obama speaks.

Pock-ee-ston. Always cracks me up. When Bush said "nuke-u-ler", the drive by media mocked him (ok by me). When Barry says "pock-ee-ston", the main stream parrots and presidential stenographers simply change the way they've pronounced it for 75 years and start saying "pock-ee-ston" themselves! You can't make this **** up!

RK1, you're a much better phonetic speller than I am. You nailed it.

It sounds like how a Rastafarian would pronounce it. Yeh mon.

You Sir, besides being a gentleman, a scholar and a credit to this forum must have ESP.

I can't picture it without laughing out loud, but I can picture it.

From where I sit, Obama looks like nothing so much as the third term of the Bush administration- on steroids.

Not even close. Live in your own world...

Sounds good to me. Why should I pay because she fell asleep smoking a cig or had her brother in-law do some faulty electrical work?

Until it's your Mom or sister, huh...

When are your guys going to come up with an argument that holds water ?
RK1, keep it all for yourself. No greed there. We will remember that when we find your bleeding *** lying in a ditch after you crash your SH. Didn't pay your ambulance bill last month did you...

I appreciate all your comments and your courtesy in those regards. It seems there's been a scourge on political/business/current events posts that have been taken down.

Oops, did we offend somebody? Sorry.

This thread still lives because it encompasses the same vastness of the financial/political mess it also comes down to our shops, our manufacturer alliances, the parts network - the whole automotive business model is changing.

The American auto industry is about to be reborn. Not because of government but with lack of it. It may be hugely painful for the fat ***** but the American auto worker knows how to build a car. I'm not sure Obama and the UAW has a clue.

OK for a moment, I am the car Guru:

Chev offers two vehicles: Corvette and Silverado

GMC goes away

Olds goes away

Buick goes away

Saturn Sports Car is saved - SUV is not a bad pick either

Pontiac - 1 car take your pick

Hummer - junk

Dodge - Heavy Trucks are ****. Perfomance coupes are over the top - Challenger is a sweet trip to the past.

Ford - doesn't need help? Wishfull thinking for now but remember the Edsel.

I gotta agree with RK1 here. The Obama administration looks like the third Bush administration because it is. It is being run by the same groups of insiders (Wall Street bankers and associated corporations) who have been running things for quite awhile now. So far, Obama has broken nearly every promise he made as a candidate.
In reality, puppet Obama was installed as president to deliver our heads on a platter to the lords of world government, a goal which the Bush administration (and all administrations with few exceptions since Woodrow Wilson) made great strides toward.
