Post Whoring Newbie Thread
yes it does... hopefully this internet fad thing will help contain it.. thought it would also appear to be a good tool to use to proliferate their ideas... double edged sword, I guess. Ultimately negating any positive use it may have..

Now, just to enter some politically neutral comments (well, sort of).....
I overheard some guys in the gunshop a few weeks ago talk about how no gunowners were dumb enough to vote for Obama. However, gunowners were instrumental in keeping Bush in office for the past 8 years. Are any gunowners actually defending the fact that gunowners elected Bush-the-dumbass? Will gunowners accept that maybe there is no correlation between owning a gun and being intelligent? Plaxico Burress certainly is not intelligent, but then again, I have no respect for professional athletes in the first place. We will never be able to determine if the economy would have taken a **** with a different president, but the fact is that it did with Bush in office.
A guy from the GunsAmerica website made a comment on MySpace the other day. Gunowners should stop bitching about the obvious - Obama is president - and start thinking of how we are going to keep our right to bear arms as well as be 'one' country. The legislative branch and judicial branch keep the executive branch in-check (well, we have three branches in place in order to keep one branch from having too much power), so gunowners will need to start educating folks about our right and how it keeps everyone safe. The Blue Press catalog (Dillon Precision) arrived yesterday, and some articles mentioned two things that we can do. The first is the Appleseed Project. Educate shooters, new and old, about marksmanship. It is a fun event, and the fact is that more people are playing video games indoors, then participating in outdoor events. The second is to ask the question, 'Why shouldn't we be able to protect ourselves'?. We can defend why we should be able to, but maybe we need to change the direction of our argument. Two cases are noted where the US Supreme Court ruled that no agency is responsible for protecting the citizen, so who will? I not going to let my family become victimized; not on my watch. People that don't own guns need to read about those cases; not for the sake of paranoia, but for the sake of knowing who will protect them. It is time to be as active as possible with local and state government, and work our way to the top.
There, now let the post whoring explode!

*climbs down off soap box*
This **** storm started way before Bush, let's talk decades...So to pin it on one president is absurd..Come on now, perhaps he had a few missteps while in office, but I still support him, and think he has done the best job given the **** he has had to deal with. Let's don't even bring up how much Tax dollars Clinton wasted while in office, and continues to bleed from Americans..Along with his butch wife..And Carter, oh geez, there's a pearl for ya..Americans are a bunch of lazy *** cry babies that have had it too good for way too long.

Yes, Americans are crybabies....Unfortunately, the gummint has no choice but to bailout banks and automakers that have failed due to greed and bad management. If not for the economy getting worse, I would have said don't bailout the automakers, the banks, or the folks what thought the housing market was never going to explode and bit off more than they can chew. George's failures make a singular reason for me to never discuss who I vote for. I've voted for the winners, the losers, and the winners who have turned out to be losers.
No soapbox on my end...its just Friday, and I don't feel like working
On a more important note, Mr. Randman, have you taken out your Mosin-Nagant yet?
Ok, agreed, enough politics, it only aides in my blood boiling...
I plan on taking it out to Uwharrie this weekend, not sure which day yet..Ammo came in this week, so plenty of that...I also wanna take my 06 out and put it on paper...along with a little .40 practice...
Sure wish Aim would go ahead and ship those AR lowers I bought...if they don't ship soon I'll have to cancel the order...as I will be moving at the end of Jan...
