Doctors in Manama, Bahrain, in the Persian Gulf, successfully removed a two-inch nail from a man's ***** last week. The 37-year-old Indian man underwent a non-surgical procedure known as a cystoscopy at the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC).
According to news reports, the man admitted himself to the SMC several days ago with extreme abdominal pain and was unable to speak. Since the man couldn't talk because of his pain, the doctors had an X-ray taken and realized that he had had a two-inch nail rammed up his *****. They pulled the nail out and later said the man could have died if they had not X-rayed him and spotted the nail.
The man claimed the nail was inserted there without his knowledge by a gang of Bahrainis who attacked and robbed him. He said he had been walking around with the nail inside his ***** for three days before going to the hospital. He told doctors the last thing he remembered was having something sprayed in his face and being fondled by one of his assailants before he blacked out.
Dr. Ashwani Narang, the SMC's Accident and Emergency Department senior resident physician told local media the man said he was an illegal worker in Bahrain and would now be deported.
"It is better that he is alive and deported than dead in a foreign land," said. Dr. Narang.
