I thought about a Highlander hybrid but the hybrid upcharge is too steep.

I was looking at the VW Jetta TDI and it gets 42-50 MPG.

Yea, the camry was 31 normal and 35 hybrid.

Go buy an old conversion van and put a propane conversion kit on it.
