I grew up the poor kid on the block. Well at least the first 12-13 yrs of life anyway.

I can still remember some kids making a big deal about my socks. They were some color and not "White athletic socks". It seemed like the whole school was laughing at me for that one.

Then my mom finished nursing school and started bringing home the jack!!!

Then I started getting 2 whole pairs of shoes in a school year. I even got the first Nike Pumps at our school. LOL.....

We did not spoil our kids this Christmas. My son did not really get that much and then we went over to my parents and my nephew shows up with @ $500 in new electronics.....I thought geeez, here we go.

My one present was a magnetic parts holder thingie that I can use when working on vehicles.

It's something I had my eye on getting but was never high on the priority list. Which was cool that I got it though.
