This is a warning! Sell your bike and I'll reset your post count to ZERO! Or maybe I'll ban you.... Or maybe I'll make you a moderator. ****, I dunno. Just don't sell the bike. Sell more watches and just buy the other one outright. That way you'll have something for the dirt and something for the street. You're going to hate yourself if you do this. TRUST ME!!!!!!!!1

It's cool, I have done a lot of soul searchin, and I know deep down inside this is what I gotta do...LOL...
Besides, it aint about the money..I mean, of course the money would be nice to throw at a new bike...

Cleve, no particular route in mind...Don't have to be an official route or anything, I am just as content pulling a Harley ride...you know, 10-15 miles to eat and throw back a few cold ones...then sit around and talk **** about how we ride, never actually doing any of that of course..LOL

Not a problem, just wish someone could have proofed some of the crap I sent at work before changing the batt's on this freaking thing. Got several disgruntled looks in the staff meeting this morning cause of it.

Leaning, my strips, and my seat...
Yea, another newby to both my '05 Superhawk and the forum. And actually I really haven't been enthused enough about anything to even BE on a forum since the early 90's when i was a big contributor to an Rx-7 email-bomb type 'forum.' So it's cool to have something I'm actually thrilled about again lol. (Well, I actually raced Yamaha powered sprint karts for 5 years and that was AWESOME!!! But everything i had to talk about then was a racing secret so i wasn't on any forums regarding that...)
So as to the topic (remember the topic about 4000 posts ago about seat unlatching and chicken strips??), I came mostly from riding an enduro (XL600R) in which strips were pretty non-existant. Bike is VERY tall, and tires were very narrow, so the stips were gone in about the first mile of housing-development riding. Moved onto first pure street bike/sport bike(ish), '04 Honda 599 (Hornet) and the prob. with that bike was that my feet would hit the ground when i'd lean it in too far. So when i was eliminating chicken strips I'd have to remember to point my toes upward lol. Scary as **** when you pitch it into a turn and all the sudden your toes are being dragged under the footpeg! Yeeeeeesh. So i'll let y'all know when i scrub the sides of the Superhawk's tires off and how that goes. Might be a while. Bike is heavier than anything I've ridden in the past but it is AMAZINGLY stabile!
As for the seat, I thought something was messed up or like i wasn't turning the key far enough. Til one day when I basically lifted the rear of the seat, bending the seat slightly, and gave it a good firm two-handed YANK backwards and it freed itself! Now I know the trick and have just replaced stock seat with Sargent anyway.
Anyway, LOVE this bike. Best riding bike I've ever owned but that's for another post. ENJOY!
