Metallic taste of Fear?

Metallic taste of Fear?
I was on my way home from work yesterday along the coast on Ocean Parkway. It runs on the South Shore of Long Island is a pretty long straight stretch that can be utterly boring and at the same time enticing you to speed.
I was cruising along when I spotted a custom Harley with a HUGE rear tire. He was bouncing along and had to use body english to keep the damned thing straight. With the lack of rear view mirrors, he did not notice me until he glanced at the traffic behind him....then proceded to speed off. I cought up to him and we proceeded off the parkway and onto the Robet Moses Causeway.
At this time he waves me to get up to him, just the 2 of us on a 3 lane road and we gun it. I get off the throttle after 2nd because the drawbridge just ahead limits visibility and is unsafe to speed on.
He is flying up ahead of me and then slows down and waits for me upon hitting some traffic. At this point, the causeway becomes a 3 lane bridge that heads towards the mainland, a great place to open it up.
I get next to him and we go, I give him the slight jump because I want to be fair. So, I am in the empty right lane, he is in the left, some cars are in the center. I pulled away from him pretty hard and actually forgot how well the bike pulled upstairs.
Then I noticed a problem.... A BIG problem. With cars clogging the middle lane, me flying in the right lane at 110+, a car conveniently STOPPED in the right lane of the bridge. WHAT THE ****????
FEAR, Heart skips a beat, strong metallic taste in my mouth, closing in VERY fast. Concenrate, don't fixate on car, no room in middle late, so I had to split the parked car and moving traffic at very excessive speeds.
After that, I got off the parkway at the next exit and chilled out for the rest of the ride home. I took secondary roads instead of the parkway, reflecting upon what happened.

So you were stopped off in West Islip/Babylon? My old neck of the woods. Glad to hear you made it through ok, my *** was puckered just thinking about it.; Was the car stopped on teh downslope (backside) of the bridge? You can see most of the stretch from before you're even on the bridge.

Car was parked on the Up-Slope but I did not see him for some reason...Odd now that I think about it.
