My only gripe is with #23 as we've already got many times more gun laws than we need, or that our properly respected Constitution would permit.

 

I think that is what it is saying..ie,,,don't make anymore stupid gun laws, just enforce the ones that we already have...and yes I agree there are still too many as it is, the only people most of them hurt, are the law abiding gun owners..etc..etc...

I understand and agree that #23 is a useful position against any additional laws. Just pointing out that most of the laws we do have are without merit or justification and we'd be better off without them.

 

I have yet to find a law that made complete sense in all it's aspects... Gun-law or otherwize... ( for example murder.... that's kinda basic rigth? but nope... they managed to make the laws impotent and confusing...)

In most cases common sense is a lot more usefull than laws... unfortunately while laws are enforced by politicians and civil servants, common sense is enforced by nature... and while nature might be even slower, it's verdicts can't be overthrown...

Over here we have a lot of laws... the most usefull purpose of them is to get me arrested for shooting back at the crooks...

Now don't get me wrong... I'm ALL FOR LAWS... even those controlling guns... and by that I mean CONTROL &ACCOUNTABILITY... not restriction... cuz that obviuosly doesn't work...

Just in case you're wondering, I was. The new M5 Sig is not out yet. Reports are that it will make the old 2340 look like sand in the parking lot. That should be a good thing because you can drive a 6X6 over a 2340 and pick it up and kill 40 squids as long as they are coming at you five deep. The M5 is faster and better at keeping clean. Also 1/2" shorter barrel IIRC. Happy hunting!
