if the "court" is being held in a trailer, batten down the hatches, cause they want money

Its ******* stupid...

after hearing how long it would be before i can get into court over this, I basically asked what the fine would be if i just plead guilty and pay it, and still get the BS run around... If she would have charged me 25-35 or so, i would have just forked it over to be done with it... But now i'm even more pissed about it, and i'll be damned if they get any money out of this.... But the pain in the *** is I was planning on being gone the first week of June... Now i've gotta probably back off the move date by a couple weeks, which sucks because my wife isn't working anymore, so i'm just killing time.....

I went through this once in Omaha, Ne... I was a driving on dealer plates (overnight testdrive), and got pulled over for improper placement of the plates... (in the back window cause the dealer put it there)... Then he ran the plates and couldn't find them or something.. anyway, gave me tickets for improper display, no valid registration, no proof of insurance, no proof of financial responsibility, and some other BS... And i wasn't even braking a law... anyway... they scheduled my court date 8 weeks later, then when i showed up, it was another 10 weeks till trail... meanwhile, I moved, and tried to settle via mail, but the DA said i had to show, so i blew it off, then negotiated a dollar amount later to get it to go away... But it was BS.. that situation cost me $800.00 to fix, but I had to leave for a job, and couldn't go back..

i am once again at the mercy of the slow as state/town/county... And the thing that pisses me off about it... I was written a BULL **** ticket, that the officer wasn't there for the accident, didn't even get the correct code for the ticket he probably had in mind, and now, even though I had made life plans for my family to be in another state living by then, I have to work around there timeline... And its there ******* fault... If they write you a BS ticket like this, and being forced to deal with it the long way causes hardship on your family, the state should have to pay you back or something.. i know thats wishful thinking... but seriously, they are failing to provide me with any sort of speedy trial at all, even after being explained the timeline here...

**** **** **** **** ****... I hate this ****....

ok.. enough foul language, but i am seriously pissed over this (sorry, did it again)...

I wreck my bike, which cost me to fix, I get some pretty serious rash, some of which is still healing a month later, not to mention the cost of medical supply's... my left leg to this day is still not functioning 100%, I've spent close to $1500 already between the bike and my medical ****, and now I've gotta play games with the court over something that they never should have had anything to do with...

getting people into the system is an industry now. THe whoe theory of the 'net widening effect' is real. we are trivializing real criminal behavior and calling something else (a seatbelt violation, for instance) a criminal behavior and putting people into a system that will bleed them dry. if you dont have the money for this (or any other traffic citation) they WILL put you on probation. this is just asinine to me. if you violate a condition of you probation, such as lose a job, don't pay fees, etc., a probation violation warrant WILL be taken, and you WILL be arrested and taken to jail. i just dont think its right to be able to do that. Is not wearing a seatbelt, or speeding, or failing to maintain your lane somehting that should be jailable? no. its absolutely ridiculous. its social control.

this is what they do in most states and its getting worse. the reason why?..... the middle class can afford to pay for 'fines' and 'programs'. its a multi billion dollar industry, and they will go where they need to to get their money. and, like i said, its just another form of social control.

Ok... Figured i would update since trail was tonight...

I plead guilty to a Parking Ticket...

Ran into a lawyer/customer of mine who said he would help out... He dropped in tonight and spoke to them... Said getting it completely dropped wasn't likely, but was able to get it reduced to parking ticket, which is $50.00 fine, no court cost, and no points...

So i took it... And I'm fairly certain he is comping me on the lawyer fee's.... So no charge for that.

I am happy... of course would have rather had no charge at all, but its a small town, they apparently like money... lol

Paying the parking ticket fine was the result of the lawyer making arrangements with the court because they gave me a bull **** ticket for "failure to use designated lane"...

The original charge was a fine of up to $150, plus $55 court cost... and on top of that, 3 points on your license... parking ticket is $50.00, no court cost, and no points....
