Does anyone wear 'Boot Gaiters' while riding?

I recently bought a pair of these http://www.outdoordesigns.co.uk/prod...ers_perma.html in black. I initially thought they would be great for snowmobiling so I don't get snow and wind blown up my pant leg. they are also supposed to be great for hiking, snow shoeing, and ice climbing.

I started to think of other situations I might use them, like for work. sometimes I find myself working in a snow drift or mud pit. then I thought they might be good for the bike. I think they would work well to keep my pant legs snug and not flapping around in the wind, and also help keep them dry in rain.

what do you guys think of these things? anyone else use them?

I used to wear them skiing but cant imagine bike usefullness. Do you wear bell bottoms? Cuz then I could see it. Or maybe if you ride through snow drifts...

haha....yeah, your right, I think they might not work best with the bike after all. I did a search and found a bunch of leather ones for the harley crowd. yuck.
