cell phone gps navigation
I'm curious what app. You guys like for navigating. I used the Navigation component of Google Maps until I could not uninstal the updates that integrate them. Not being able to use navigation without a destination ruined it as I often room with navigation on. I like to know where traffic is good or bad and it's useful as I generally roam toward woods, water and roads with lots of curves and away from cities.
I have started using Waze and like it so far. I think it's easy to read (especially at night) and the warnings for cops, red light or speeding cameras, accidents and road hazards have been 100% accurate so far. These features rely on users reporting and updating so I'm sure there are false reports but I'd rather slow down for the cop that wasn't there than get pulled over.
What app. do you guys use like or dislike?

I like Google maps and nav, but I have difficulty getting it to talk, so sometimes I'll have to start the app 2 or 3 times before it works right.
Lately I'm using Scout, and it works pretty good. It also tells you the address as you reach your destination, unlike Google maps. That's good if you're going somewhere you've never been before, like to someone's house.

I think I'll have to audition Scout in my car. I'm getting really attached to Waze on the bike. The street names font is bold and so are the graphics. I have my cell (Galaxy S4) mounted to the steering stem with a Ram X Grip and like being able to quickly glance down and read the map. The only thing Waze is not good for is zooming out and looking at large areas. I still use Google maps for that.
