Auto HID conversion recommendations
I would like recommendations for replacing the headlights on a 2002 Pontiac sunfire to an HID setup. There are tons on ebay but I do not know what to look for or to stay away from. Dont want to spend over $125 on it. Lots of night time driving to work with it. Lots of deer. Got to go break is over. Thanks for your input in advance.

Don't just stick normal HID bulbs in standard reflector sockets. They will not give you a good light pattern and while the areas that do get light will be brighter, they will be worse in spots and will blind oncoming traffic.
Either swap to HID projectors (making some kind of mount) or use specific halogen replacment HID bulbs. The ONLY source I know of for those is: Other Sizes: Morimoto 3Five Bulbs - HID Bulbs from The Retrofit Source Inc (bulbs specifically made to go into halogen projectors) Edit: just reread that, these are still not for halogen reflectors, but for halogen projectors.. if you have reflectors you still can't use these.
But be aware if your car uses the same bulb for both high and low beams you will lose one with that simple plug & play solution.
If you car uses one bulb for both, you should put in a projector with a solenoid actuated block for high - low beams. (but you are talking more $ here)
If you have separate high and low beams then you can do them separately, and that is easier. But still not easy.
You might consider the much easier option of HIR bulbs too.
I have Projector HID lows and HIR high beams on my car. HIR Headlights 9011 9012 bulbs
