ebay complete part out

yup

parting my bike out

It is an 01 with 16k miles, clean, never wrecked, never abused.
I didnt make it a streetfighter because i had to, it was a project of mine and i wanted it that way. Anyhow, just dont have the time for it anymore. Its depressing.

i'll be listing things on ebay in the coming months, and i'll bump this thread whenever i add something new

first up is the Daytona Steering Stabilizer

yes, the header is stock

if you can offer a fair amount that will convince me not to put it on ebay, then i will gladly sell it here

according to BikeBandit it retails for ~$350...not that i expect to get anywhere near that, but id like a fair offer

i wont lie, im parting it out to make money to buy another bike

How much for the exhaust, tail cowl, and front carb? If you have an K&N filter how much for that too?

the Jardines are fully operational and useable, but not in great shape by any means, they need new clamps and have some scuffs on the lower sections.

by tail cowl, do you mean the seat cover? or tail section?
ive sold the tail section itself already, but i still have the red pillion seat cover

i do have an OEM and BMC filter

Like I said before, I am taking reasonable offers on most parts. But I am selling these to buy another bike, so of course I want as much as I can fairly expect.

Im sorry to have to tell anyone this, but I am getting entirely too many offers for about a hundred different parts and honestly I didnt want to start tearing the bike apart looking for certain parts. Call me lazy, but I want to disassemble everything in the proper way and keep all the parts, connections, etc. that are associated together.

I am going to be taking bits and pieces off, one by one, cleaning and inspecting them, and taking pictures here in the next month or so.

Everything will be listed on Ebay, and will go to the highest bidder.

I apologize again for any inconvenience, but I dont want to have to keep track of who wanted what first and cause any hard feelings.

This way Ebay can serve as a mediator, and you can have some sort of reassurance that I am not selling you junk. I am an Ebay Power Seller, and I do most everything I can to keep everyone happy.

I will post in this thread with all parts available, when they become available.

Sorry if I got anyone excited about certain parts, but I just want to do this the most easy and fair way.

Radioactiv,

I'm asking this as a favor because I don't want to set policy here. It's pretty laid back and I like it that way. So, if you are going to put the parts on ebay and post the links here it wouldn't be too much to ask if you have a "Buy it Now" price just for the SHF members and be willing to end the auction early. This is the way 1000RR.net works and it works well. This keeps everyone happy. Lemme know if I'm asking too much.

I'm just sorry to hear that it's going, that's a bad-*** looking bike. What are you eyeing as far as the next bike?

A real Superhawk fan would not part out the bike. Sell it to buy somthing else so someone else more appreciating can enjoy it.

guess im not a real fan then

more people can benifit from a part out, rather than selling it to some schmoe who wrecks it after 2 weeks...see Denmah

being honest, i am parting it out, too, because i can make more money this way, and im trying to save up enough for a CBR.

I'd do the same thing. You can't get much for a complete superhawk, parting it out is the only way to make your money on it. There's not many guys on here that can say they have'nt gotten used parts from someones parted out bike. It can get complicated trying to keep up with who wants what so I would let ebay moderate it for me as well. If you want to buy it now , then you can hit the buy it now button. Thats what it's there for.

Don't get mad cause you can't hob *** all the parts you want first. Too many guys say they want parts and then back out with a lame excuse.

It's really not salable at anywhere near the price for a stocker of the same year and mileage. Parting it out makes sense from an investment recovery perspective. Plus, it's his.

I'm thoretically sympathetic to your idea though. I'm currently struggling with an XS650 I bought to turn into a cafe racer. It's a '76 and it's really in almost perfect, 98% stock condition. I just can't bring myself to cut it up.

This entire thread has gone from bad to worse and if I was the admin I would have busted it a long time ago. **** or git off the pot. I'm gonna sell - oops wait a minute - you're all friends and brothers but I'm gonna take you for every dime I can get any way I can get it - I can bring you my ignorance and beg for your patience but PLEASE understand that this is all too much work so I'm going to take the easy way out. Please do just that - take the way out! This is a time of the year where this sort of **** is not supposed to happen especially between friends and colleagues. Greg, lock this thread! The rest of y'all back off or take it elsewhere!

Im posting here when I have new parts listed

Why are some of you taking this so personally?
Its not like I screwed you in a business deal or something.

Ive already helped two Hawk riders get back on the road with parts, so dont talk to me about helping my fellow riders.

I am going to be honest and up front with everyone here, just as they have been to me.

There is no need to be rude about it

That's the nice thing about the '73 CB350 I came across. Paid $200 for it after it had been sitting in an old man's garage for years (tag has registration from '78 ). 6500 original miles. Don't get your hopes up it looked like it was on the bottom of a lake. So, I have no reservations about modding it a little.

Let's everybody relax...for everyone upset about it try and look at it this way-by parting it out he'll be helping fix up and keep a bunch of other hawks on the road by parting out one bike. Not like any of the parts will go in the trash.
