WTB sprockets 530, 535, 520 - front & rear, chain too
Hey forum folks,
I'm in the market for front 15 or 16 tooth &/or rear 41/42/43 tooth steel sprockets.
Any pitch 530, 525, 520.
Chain and sprockets are heavy, so it's got to be in great condition to be worth shipping..
thx,

I've got a really nice, clean stock set-low miles. Name a fair price and you can have them. I did the vortex 520 thing. Get some pics up in a minute...

I cleaned the sprockets really well and they just about look new. Didn't spend too much time on the chain but it's still nice as well.

See my post above yours. I bought the heavy duty 520 rk x, and steel sprocets down 1 in front and up 2 in rear JT.

Clean Sprocket
Hey CaptainChaos...WOW clean sprocket. I did the 520 conversion and tried cleaning my factory chain and sprockets. Chain and sprockets look good (or at least I thought so until I saw yours...WOW). So what's your secret. I used a brush with SimpleGreen and brake cleaner for those tougher spots.

I just used an old toothbrush and either simplegreen or westleys bleachwhite (the whitewall cleaner) under some warm water. I have both and can't remember which. I get about the same results from both. I had to do it several times but they just kept coming cleaner and cleaner. In all fairness these don't have many miles on them but most all the old greasy chain wax/road grime should come off it you go over them well enough with a good degreaser. I've done a bunch of reading online as far as cleaning the chain goes and there are different opinions. Do use WD40, don't use WD40...use this, use that, this damages o-rings, no it doesn't... Since that pic I cleaned the chain too and simply sprayed a little simple green on it and gave it a cleaning with a toothbrush under some running water, then I sprayed a little more degreaser on an old t-shirt and cleaned some more. It came really clean and I don't think I have to worry about damaging anything for the small amount of cleaner I used and for such a short period. I finished by spraying it down with chain wax to protect it. Just like to store/sell clean parts I'm pretty **** when it comes to detailing and sometimes get a little carried away...
