Pchrist, FYI, while my speedo is off from the factory, my odo is spot on, GPS verified. Speedo & odo use the same signal, so correcting one breaks the other. It is my opinion the factory knew exactly what they were doing. In any event if you correct your speedo to your actual speed, your odo will be reading ~7% low from that point. If you do gas milage calculations based on your trip-meter, it will suddenly drop by ~7% too.
I use my odo when traveling so choose to live with an inaccurate speedo to keep an accurate odo. Can't really see or read the speedo accurately anyway when at speed, so I just use it as a reference.
The only reason I would use one of these is if I decide to change my gearing which would throw off the odometer.

On their website they have a calculator that will give you the proper correction factor for your gearing, and you program that onto it with a certain sequence of flashes from the little LED on it. It's pretty straight forward, if you go to the bottom of the page of the link I posted, its all there, including a instructional video on how to do it.
