WTB Ignition Switch

I'm looking for the ignition switch and key for either a VTR or a CBR929/954. Either will work. I currently have the VTR switch on the 929 triples and need that switch for the Cafe. Like I said, either will work. As usual, I'm on a budget. I'd like to blame it on the weak dollar but I'll be honest, I'm just a cheap bastid!

Didn't you have the item number posted in the ignition advancer thread about an ignition switch? I can't imagine a locksmith is going to charge an extreme amount to create a new key, especially since it's not like there are any electronic innards involved...

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on that one but really for $55 shipped then another $20 for a key? Sorry, not in my budget. It's $92 for a brand new one.

$20? You've got some con artist locksmiths over there, I was charged $9.95 for my car awhile back...

That's what it's running here in the Portland area, at ARCO.

What about the seat and gas cap locks being different, no biggie I guess.

Want to talk about expensive, this year due to the Cook Co tax going up, Chicago sales tax will be 10.25%! Our gas is "only" about 3.14 to 3.19 but higher in the city and at some county rippers.

Hooray for Oregon's lack of sales tax!
