Track Bodywork
I don't have pictures yet, exceept for on the bike, on the track at Thunderhill last June. See my post from then.
$400. If interested, PM me. It's going on ebay soon if I don't sell it here.
I wanted to give the Froum members first shot.
Lots of other parts coming soon. Still waiting on the final settlement.
Ohlins damper w/brackets, Moriwaki full Exhaust, Moriwaki rearsets, HRC race ignition, rear subframe, wheels, spine protector, boots, tank bag, Geza cover, etc. I may have a buyer for the engine, but it is not finalized. Contact me if you are interested. It was running really well at about 6000 rpm in 4th gear 5 weeks ago today!

It's a Bohn Pro Racer.
It covers shoulderblades, kidneys, ribs, spine and tailbone.
Not a hard shell type.

Re: Track Bodywork
I'm a buyer for the rearsets, most likely. Got pics? Also, I'm not in any hurry, so I can wait until you get everything settled no problem.

I'm trying to get my act together. Been rebuilding mountain bikes and the endless friggin' house project, or is it the project house?
It's all neatly tucked away in my garage. Rearsets awaiting a footpeg. exhaust awaiting a new canister. engine just waiting to be reassembled. forks just need a tiny bit of straightening ~.014" and ~.020" TIR. Front wheel has about .040 both radial and axial runout. I think it can be straightened. It's not crumpled. Make an offer. It is a '00 RC51 wheel. Rear wheel is in good shape.
Lots of other goodies. 929 brakes, left clip-on, track bodywork, rear subframe, two piece chassis
My son uses the tankbag for his school backpack. It was missing a clip.
since the messaging doesn't work on this site, here's my email: rand.c@earthlink.net.
Pics soon, I promise. Just don't hold your breath!

Sharkskinz
Aegean Blue base coat/clear coat You've seen the pictures.
Used 1 track day only. Perfect condition. I'll even clean the bugs off.
$250
$400 with lower and extra paint.
should look fine with red or yellow tank for track days.

(I thought Honda called it Tahitian Blue or something)
Is the lower the race fairing with out any drain holes or the street fairing with drain holes?
How much would shipping be to Dallas, TX 75238?

Re: Track Bodywork
Hey RCVTR remember that Fox shock you sold me? Well my buddy put it in and buttoned it up before I could measure it. Do you remember how much you raised it vs stock? I think you said it was 9 or 11 mm.
Sorry for the thread jack

Ohhh man...
I hadn't visited that thread for a while. Sniff...
Man I loved that bike. And it was waayyy better than no bike.
So yeah, that's the color. Actually it does look better than the pictures. It's a Honda car color.
Shipping can't be more than about $40. So I'll say that for packaging and shipping.
The lower has a closed bottom to catch fluids.
NOrrTH, as I recall the shock is set about 6mm longer than stock. You might want to shorten it 1 turn with the stock trail. I was running 5mm less triple clamp offset, so I had more trail and it worked well with the steeper head angle. 5mm change in shock length is somewhere around 30mm at the rear axle, so it is a big geometry change. You may want a steering damper, but probably won't need it on the street.

Re: Track Bodywork
OK I'm confused....
Is RC996 the same person as RCVTR ?
AND
Is the "Honda car color" the same as Honda 2003 Superhawk blue?
Or is my tank going to mismatch (colorwise) your race bodywork?
That's all :-)

Doesn't loosening the big nut that squishes the spring (sag?) change the shock height?
Stop me if I'm being too technical haha

Same person. RC996 stopped working and the site administrator can't seem to get around to fixing it.
Not the same color Aegean Blue is a Honda car color.
Scott, setting sag is not the same as changing shock length. It has a similar effect over a small range, but you should set sag properly. If you disconnect the bottom end of the shock (hang or otherwise support the back of the bike), you can loosen the small locknut and turn the bottom shock mount 1 turn in for about 1mm change. I ran with 5mm with the stock front end (Race Tech springs) and it handled great. Front end would shake under hard acceleration at the track. No problem 4 me on the street. I went 1mm longer with the RC51 front end and steering damper.

Re: Track Bodywork
Cool, thanks. I'll leave it and try it out then. Just need paint now and I'm good to go.

CNI Dawg - The darker blue sould look good with the VTR blue IMO, unless you want a direct match. I also have enough paint and clear to do a tank and rear cowl that I'll throw in at no charge, if you're interested.
The pictures that best show the color are under "Member's Rides" / "My work in progress". they show the street bodywork. I had the track stuff done at the same time (same color).

Re: Track Bodywork
Do you have a race body work tail section too?
Boy O Boy does that motor sound like a sweet thing.
So, it's already sold????
Does the HRC ignition help that much?
Hotter spark or what?
What's your email address and/or phone number?

Bump
Hoping you will get an email from forum on the update of this thread.
Got my 1st Prov/Nov race on 4/23 & could sure use some race body work!
(and time to install it beforehand)
Gotta at least have a catch pan type lower or I'll be cornerworking instead...... wishing I had a bike to race :-(
