I'm almost 70 and both wheels are not always on the ground, and 5000 rpms is where things just get started. It's good that your selling the bike Mike, maybe the new owner will ride it like it wants to be ridden.

Lot's of luck with the sale, but your price may be a little high(albeit it's worth it IMO) unless you find the right person. Put some pics up if you want to, maybe that'll stimulate some more interest.

 

I bought the VTR I have from a guy a lot like you. He bought it, rode it a little, brought it cross the US from Tennessee, then sold it to me. Stone stock but for the sargent seat. Never got under the tank, never ran it hard. This is a bike that likes to run. Gotta ride it like you stole it. I have it now and the bike is regularly taken to higher revs and high speeds. I can't quit grinning while I ride and I dream about the bike. I've been making it my own by changing the things to make it better, IMO. You ARE missing out on a whole lot of fun! The PO of this bike bought a BMW. Better suited for his style. I hope you stay on two wheels and keep in the wind. Good luck and CHEERS!

 

yeah I am a cream puff now -5 kids will do that to you. They need me around. That's why I'm getting a toy with 4 wheels. I can bring them along to enjoy. Everytime I walk to my car through the garage I look over at the Hawk and think man I don't want to sell that.It simply looks good.
What a cheap $ for such a sweet bike> I wish I ran into me when I was looking. I bet that nike has $7k in it- I know you don't get it back.
