Mitutoyo thickness gauges
I have 3 thickness gauges for sale. They are used and I'm looking for $350 shipped for the US.Model #547-400 with 543-252BS gauges. Measuring range is .5-.00005.

Are the "thickness gauges" what a mechanic would call feeler gauges, as in checking valve clearances, or are you talking about a set of what a machinist would call gauge blocks.
.00005" (5/100,000 of an inch) is a pretty thin.

oh theyre micrometers. i dont remember paying near that much for any of my mitutoyo mics but youre are digital, those guys do make fantastic products mine have been through hell and back and are still dead on accurate

Not quite the same as a micrometer, I call them snap gauges. These retail for around 675 each.
Yes they are nice, would be great for measuring valve shims, valve stems, ring thickness, almost anything up to near 1/2 inch.

yeah theyre nice, i remember ome guys i used to work with bought a cheaper set of mics that rusted out in a few months and the company told them to fly a kite. ive got a nice dial caliper from mitutoyo aswell, love it doesnt have a spot on it
