You're right to be gunshy, but I've found the SportbikeTrackGear stuff to be reasonably good stock. Since they are a primary offshoot of SportbikeTrackTime, they tend to have stock during the track riding season and then have sales at the end of the year. At least that's what I've noticed with them.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Just ordered me a set of pp 2ct 120/70/17 & 190/55/17 discount still worked total $207.98 (the bigger rear tire costs more) I've used these tires before they work great.
Here is a little info on these tires that I pulled from another board about tire pressure's.

Pilot power Front - Street / Track day tire 36-38 psi
Pilot Power Rear - Street / Track day tire 35-37 psi
Pilot Power 2CT Front - Street / track day tire Dual Compound 32-34 psi
Pilot Power 2CT Rear - Street / track day tire Dual Compound 32-34 psi
Power race Front (PR1, PR2, PR C) 31 psi
Power race Rear (PR3, PR4, PR5) 22 psi
Power race rear 190/55 (Soft, Med/soft, med) 20 psi
Now for a little tech talk. The 2CT's have softer rubber on the sides as stated but they run a lower pressure then the regular pilot powers because they have a stiffer sidewall and carcass. The regular pilot powers have a very soft carcass and need the air pressure to keep the tire from folding over. The rubber is designed to heat up quickly and the tire doesnt need a low pressure to heat up. Lowering the pressures will only increase wear because it will cause the tire to run to hot, this will also lower the grip.

hes in Montreal and hes got WICKED prices on tires...
most Toronto guys on GTAM use him, in fact so much business was going his way that it created a tire war in GTA where a lot of shops had to price their tires more competitively = BONUS for riders!

Thanks very much for pointing this site out, he'll be getting my money on the next set, I don't really need a set though, as I just bought a set of bt-012's for my gsxr, then the bike was stolen, so I got some fresh meat for the "NEW" VTR.

I got a set today of non-2CTs, took 36hrs to ship...look great & cheap. What else can you ask?
I have a Pilot Road currently, and its a bit squirrelly till it warms up, then works OK though not as sticky as the "old" Pilot Sports. However, it has about 2K miles on it, and still has the same tread depth as brand new. Pilot Sports were gone at about 4.5K.

Ordered 3 sets, extra set for ea bike. Figured probably won't beat that deal and never hurts to have extra set on hand. Remember if you order more than 2 tires do it seperatley so you will get the discount on each set

I got mine mounted up and took a quick spin to help scrub em' in. Will know in the next day or so how well they perform as compared to the Pirellis I was running before. I balanced the the rear rim by iteself, only 1oz. off. Then mounted the tire and it balanced out perfectly. The front was off 3/4oz. and then 1/2oz. off mounted.

I really want to pull the trigger on this but I'm hesitating cause I'm not sure about the tire wear. What's everyone getting on the 2CT's? I'll probably be doing a little long distance riding this summer (about 1000 miles round trip to Oshkosh, WI for EAA Airventure this year) and just don't want to have to buy new tires before I go.

I tried using the JW009 coupon code tonight, and it did not work (even though i had tested it last week and it was fine). Instead, I found JWCS20 from an online site and it worked just fine ($20 off).
I bought a pair of Pilot Road 2's for $223 including shipping. That's a really good price considering that most sites want $165+ just for the rear.
