FS 74 CB550 street tracker
Its no superhawk, but its a cool bike. Looking to sell so I can fund my T500 project. You can see my original build thread here: https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...4-cb550-24487/
The bike runs and drives flawlessly, and is a blast to ride. It just feels right. It’s loud, light, and looks good. This bike will turn heads and start conversations wherever you go.
It has Kenda enduro tires, dirtbike bars, a smaller 2.8gal gas tank from a 1976 CB360, fiberglass tail section from hotwing glass, custom leather seat, custom 4-into-1 exhaust with a shortened Yoshimura muffler, K&N air filter, removed right-hand controls, and single gauge tach (no speedo). Polished covers on clutch, stator, and front sprocket. The paint on the tank, tail, side covers and headlight bucket was professionally done. I’ve worked extremely hard to keep it clean and it shows. The bike is rust-free and looks great.
At the end of February I put in a fresh motor with good compression (140psi in all cylinders) dnya ignition system, new stator and a new clutch. While I was doing the motor swap I cleaned and adjusted the carbs, put in new spark plugs and did an oil change. Also put on a gsxr front master cylinder and a triumph scrambler billet aluminum reservoir. Everything on the bike works like new. Other things done recently are: POR15 inside the gas tank, wheel bearings, battery, turn signals, taillight, headlight, and front brake pads. I’m sure there is more I’m forgetting but that’s the important stuff.
With the sale I’ll include a bunch of spare parts. Cables, speedo, 7 individual carbs, rear shocks, fork seals, steering tube bearings and the old motor – which runs well also. Texas title, and recent inspection. Located in Corpus Christi TX. Asking $4350.
