98 VTR1000 Superhawk in CT. $1999
#4
i just looked at the pics. assuming that there is only the documented cosmetic damage, $2k seems pretty fair to me.
the bike runs and rides fine?
i'm always amazed at the value superhawks represent.
good luck with the sale.

To the right SH owner or wanabe owner that can see past the damage which can be repaired for a few hundred $$,, ya it's an ok price,, All said and done,,,after repairs it is just an average price though. In the used bike market right now, the SH is going pretty cheap.. the older the cheaper, WE know that is little difference between a 2005 MY SuperHawk and a 1998 MY SuperHawk .. but many others do not... So your asking high end for a know crashed bike that is more then 10 years old....
If you lived in TX, we would have come to a deal I believe, and your bike would be sitting in my garage..... But Connecticut is a bit far of a drive for a SuperHawk.... Maybe consider picking up a good used tank and replace the tail section...or having it repaired. With those minor buyer distractions gone, it becomes a $2300-2800 bike again,, Or what ever your local market sets the price point at.

I'm guessing it'a a rough time of year in CT to sell a bike, and the economy kinda favors the $89 a month payments on a new 600 I4 for lots of folks. Add the fact that we're a special breed and you need to be real patient. Seems like a decent price to me, If my son had more (less?) sense he'd buy it! Way too much stuff in my garage and sadly I live with Cruiser people!
