1998 Honda Superhawk 996 4,400 Original Miles

Is it a California bike?
May sound odd, but If it came from another state, It needs to have 7k miles on it before you can register it in CA. I think.
Do you have the pink slip for it? Does it have a salvaged title( could be a theft recovery, and still be in great shape, but salvaged)
I am asking these questions because I live close, and I am interested, and I don't want to waste time.
I can come look at the bike this week, or on the weekend.

No. I'm not going to for 2000.00 either. I'm not being an *** but it didn't run as well as it does now when I first posted it. I cleaned the carbs and my post says it needs the cable. I have a mint cable that goes with the bike. If you let it warm up and rev it u can tell the motor is just fine. I don't have time to mess with it at all or I'm sure I could do the cable and most likely get 3000 for it.

It only takes an hour an hour or two to replace choke cable : take off tank, airbox & dislodge carbs (no need to unconnect any cables (apart from the choke cables) just a hose or two) viola!. Less time to do when you took the carbs off to clean 'em - why didn't you replace it when you had access?.
Surely must be worth the potential extra $250/500 per hours labor to have it running good to match its condition...
