1998 Honda Superhawk 996 4,400 Original Miles
Super Clean, stock as a rock, I bought this to cruise but It ended up sitting 6 months. The carbs seem mad at me as it runs with choke ONLY. Never down.New tires. I love this type of bike but I am currently what they call in need of money. $2500/best

Sounds right to me?

KBB retail $2730 trade-in $1845 Therefore private sale around $2250?
And it sounds like this one needs a Carb overhaul? This is what superhawks are worth.
When was the last time anyone of you paid full retail price for anything?
Old superhawks are great bikes, but only crazy odd ***** like us like them? and we are few and far between.

Errrrrr! I left the guy a voicemail! I'm actually looking for a newer Superhawk. A blue or a Titanium one. But I may go check this one out?
I had a brand new one back in 1998, rode it up to Laguna Seca for the Wsbk race. Owned three since then, two red, one Titanium. I honestly wish I never sold it my 05. Still been riding around on a 07 GSXR1000 for last three years so its not all bad.
Just feel like a change, it will be another superhawk or a Rsvr Mille of some vintage, Had a 99 rsv mille was a great bike also.

I still have this bike. I have to go get it from my buddy's house a half hour away. I can flex some on the money as I need the $ more than this bike sitting here. I work a lot so text is the best for me.

Seller seems to be a dealer, with a turnover of vehicles (see gallery link - with more pics in album 66 mustang etc ). It'll be interesting to know the SH's history.

history? I'll give you the whole history. I bought it at an auction for 2650 because I liked it. I sat in the garage for 6 months and I believe the carbs are mad at me because it wont run. I had it at my buddies house that was out of town until today or it would have BEEN sold. It's not some piece of junk or pieced together bike. The choke is now stuck so it probably needs the cable too. It ran just fine when I bought it but I don't have time or extra cash to fool with it!

Time waster?
Hey Guys,
I've emailed this guy. text him, and left voice mails? For over a month! I'm starting to wonder if this bike really is his? Anyway I'm done with this one.
If anyone is able to actually view this bike and buy it good luck.

we pulled the carbs off today, cleaned them. It needs the choke plastic plungers/cable. Runs great if i drip gas down it but it's not getting fuel on it's own. this is a lot of bike for $2k... 619-820-4737

While the carbs are off why not replace the choke cable assembly while you've got easy access.
Second-hand off ebay should be only $10-$20
