FS: Corbin Beetle Bags

Im selling my Corbin Beetle Bags I bought a while back. They work great and I love the storage. They are just not me. I replaced the locks with new ones so the locks match now. The mounting hardware needs to be painted as I cleaned them up. They are overall in great condition with just a little cosmetic damage.

Asking $450 shipped of let me know if you have anything for the Hawk I may want. PM me if interested. Paypal to confirmed addresses only please. These are some awsome hard bags which are gettting harder and harder to come by especially in this condition.

Here is the link to them mounted on my bike.

I hate to flake, but after second thought- I'm going to hold off on purchasing any accessories until I get a bike. Sorry if this has caused any inconvenience.

I can't tell from the photo, will the bags hold a full-face helmet, or is the opening too small? I've tried to find more info on these bags from Corbin but they don't sell them anymore. Can you give me a guess on how much they'd hold, like a really big tankbag or less than that? Is it a hassle to get things in and out of the bags through that top door? Thanks!

A helmet will not fit, but they are surprisingly big.. each one is a bit bigger than my tankbag, but I don't have a huge tank bag. And it is fairly easy to put things into them. (I helped install them on his bike)

You are correct, they wont fit a helmet but are huge inside. Im pretty sure you could easily keep a week or more of clothing and other supplies.

Are you able to measure how wide they are when they're on? I split lanes, so staying narrow is mandatory.

If I recall correctly from following him when he had them on his bike, they were narrower than his mirrors, but he has mirror extenders on his bike..

How waterproof are these things? Even been in a big storm with them?

I will measure them when I get home tonight. Never had them in the rain but I would assume they would be perfect as they have a beefy gasket and the latch keeps the door snug.

Just held one up to the bike, should be about 30 inches wide, just enough to go through the front door at 60.

These things should be very water tight. The seal around the opening of the bags is very beefy. The latch holds the lids down very well.

Hmm...

How much effort are these to install or remove? Or is it one of those things you leave on the bike for 6 months at a time?

Well it took us over an hour to install the first time, but that was because he had removed the blinker mounts and we had to fabricate new ones.

I would expect that once you get the system down and if you still have your stock rear blinker mounts, it could be a fairly quick job. (20 min or less)
