K & N oil filter, Any Good

Hi all, looking to give the storm a service, but looking at the K & N filters, whats the difference with these against genuine Honda ones?

no advantage, and maybe even counterproductive if your bike is stock. Look at my signature below and with the minor mods I've done, the high flow filter, although I made mine out of a piece of foam, seems to work well.

oh and welcome aboard.

Welcome to the forum Nick. Lots of info here search on oil and filters. For some quick answers go here

So far I have used the shorter Walmart filter, but will probably trim my chin spoiler a bit and go to the longer one as it is the same as my car.

Unhappy Decided!!!

i got a genuine Honda Oil filter in the end, less hassle, guess you know where you stand and didnt cost much more than others,

As for oil im looking at SL markings rather than the SE, SF, and SG ratings, apparently its to do with the dates made for the vehicles at that time,

I'm going with the genuine Honda filter and oil this weekend unless any one has a better idea? Thoughts?
