Thanks guys. Im having my 2nd set of blanks cut on monday so I can satisfy all of our overseas riders.

Ive shipped 22 sets of ccts now. and Im just about out of them.

Is anyone interested in fork braces? I might do a limited run of 15 or so.

you can eyeball the superbrace I've yet to put on if you want. i would NOT recommend the superbrace because of the snafu it took to get it. but it's an OK product to eyeball; anyone else - wait for the TMB version!

+1 for the ccts i put mine on last weekend and they work great, also look good with the red powder coating.. might be interested in a fork brace if we can get some pics up tucker...

Maybe a minor comment, the bolts used for the CCT are standard, it would have been nice to use metric instead :)

Yes it would have been nice, but those same bolts in metric are over 5 bucks a piece, plus the nuts.

It doesnt really matter what the thread pitch is, cause nothing else threads with them.

The nuts are 14mm by the way.

Damn I did not realize metric was so much more expensive. I am probably the only guy around with a metric only toolbox, the 14mm did not fit and the 15 was too wide so I assumed it was a standard size.
A heads up for others, since the head of the alen screw are recessed in the CCT, the stock screws need to be replaced by slightly shorted ones.

really?? The stock bolts work fine for me.

They are only a couple of mm too long, I noticed it when measuring how deep the screw went without the CCT. I am assuming the last few mm are not threaded so you can probably get away with applying a bit more torque but found it as easy to grab slightly shorter screws. Not a big deal.

Man I am sorry but maybe some Japenese worker messed up your bike and didnt tap the holes long enough.

My stock bolts thread all the way in JUST FINE.

Oh and I also tried 5 different 14 mm open end wrenches and sockets, all of them fit just fine.

Interesting, I am positive about the CCT screws as I did check quite carefully when I first encountered resistance trying to screw them in.

I'll double check the CCT bolt as I took care of that after resetting my distribution and at that stage my willingness to cope with odd angles and tight spaces was very limited.

Again no biggy, the bottomline is I no longer hear the distribution chain slapping around and I feel much better like that :)

Well I still disagree. All my 14mm wrenches and sockets fit perfectly

As I said, tightening up the counter bolt is the last thing I did and as you know, the front CCT counter bolt is right behind a cooling hose making its access a bit of a struggle. That's probably why I couldn't fit a 14mm wrench. It is obviously much easier when you are working on the engine with everything around removed.
Again no big deal.

I got mine the week before last. I'll wait until it is warmer to put them on, but they look great. With the seal, I'm sure an improvement over the APE. Thanks Truck. When you get the fork brace, I'll buy that from you too.

Installed my set on Memorial day, very happy with the CCTs.

If the guy ever replies to my messages so I can order a set, perhaps I can pipe in too with my happy ownership experience......
